Icon of our Estate, this vintage has something magical! Because we dreamed of a great wine in Roussillon, we searched for and found a plot that met all the conditions to extract the quintessence of the terroir of the Tautavel appellation and thus make "The Difference".

Passion, high standards and hard work have guided us to make this crazy dream a reality! La Différence is now recognized by its peers and the specialist press as an essential Roussillon vintage; "An aromatic bomb to taste when you want to approach the terroir potential of the vintage, pushed to its peak of demand" (article from Terre de Vins, 6 Nov. 2018).

Be patient, La Différence needs time... After a few minutes it will reveal its secrets to you... Sit comfortably and let yourself be carried away!

Coming from old vines of Carignan, Syrah and Grenache with low yield (25hl/ha), the grapes are harvested manually when optimum maturity is reached. The bunches are brought in small quantities to the sorting table and stripped of the various impurities to keep only the most precious berries. The berries are then put directly into barrels to begin vinification. This is followed by aging in new French oak barrels for 18 to 24 months.

With a dark red, almost black color, La Différence is ample and powerful. The tannins are present but balance out after a few seconds. The blend of different grape varieties is wonderful, unique and complementary. It is no longer a simple tasting, it becomes magical; sometimes powerful and rough, it transforms and becomes nectar!
